Brickwork.app is committed to being straightforward about privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use Brickwork.app, who collects it, and how it is used.
The short version: We do not sell your personal information or use your images, designs, or builder blueprints to train AI models. We process information needed to provide the Service, including account details and temporary builder files, as described below.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioural tracking. Our hosting providers may process technical request information for service operation and security.
When you create an account, we receive your email address and account identifier through Firebase Authentication. We store these on Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with account preferences and purchase status, to manage your account and provide the features you use.
Original image files selected for conversion stay in your browser; Brickwork does not upload or retain them on our servers. Some conversion tools send derived color, depth, or brick-layout data to our AWS processing endpoints solely to generate your design.
Brickwork does not use your images, designs, or blueprints to train or fine-tune AI models, and does not provide that content to AI providers for training. AI-assisted photo features use pretrained models running in your browser.
If you choose to save a design to your account, its design data and preview image are stored on AWS so you can access them later. This account storage is separate from the temporary builder files described below.
When you use Brickwork Builder through Claude or another compatible AI app, that app sends us a structured blueprint containing the model name, baseplate, and brick placements. We validate it and create an editable .brickwork file. The builder does not request your original images or full conversation history. It works without a Brickwork account and cannot access your saved account content.
Generated project files containing your blueprint are stored briefly in private Amazon S3 storage solely so you can open or download your model. Links expire within one hour; anyone with a link can access that file until it expires. Files are scheduled for automatic deletion under a one-day S3 lifecycle rule. AWS performs this cleanup asynchronously, so actual deletion may take longer than 24 hours.
Prompts, images, and conversations you share with Claude or another AI app are handled under that provider's own privacy policy and data-use settings. Our no-training commitment applies to Brickwork's handling of your content.
We use AWS to process conversion and builder requests and to store account information, account-saved content, and temporary builder files. For more information about AWS's privacy practices, see the AWS Privacy Notice.
Account creation and sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google LLC. When you sign in with Google, Firebase receives your email address and a unique identifier from Google in order to create and manage your account.
Firebase Authentication may store session tokens in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in between visits. These are functional tokens used solely for authentication - they are not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you make a purchase, your billing and payment details are entered directly into Stripe's secure environment and are never seen by, transmitted through, or stored on our servers.

Brickwork.app does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. We do not use any third-party tracking scripts, pixels, or behavioural analytics tools.
Firebase Authentication may use browser local storage to persist your login session. This is purely functional and can be cleared by signing out or clearing your browser's site data.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Ever.
Account information, saved preferences, and content you choose to save to your account are retained while your account exists. You can delete your account through the app or request deletion of your account and associated data at hello@brickwork.app.
Temporary builder files follow the one-day cleanup rule described above, independently of account deletion. Copies you download and files or conversations retained by your AI provider are not deleted by Brickwork's cleanup.
Authentication and payment security are handled by Google/Firebase and Stripe respectively. Temporary builder files are stored in a private S3 bucket and accessed through expiring links. Treat these links as private access to your files and only share them with people you intend to give access to.
Our Service may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
Brickwork.app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our Service, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top, and are effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
